I had posted a review for the challenge course several months back. I must say the that Mr. Hartford and the pro shop personal at the ridge course backed everything they said they would do including the courtesy round of golf for my wife and myself. The challenge course was in fantastic shape and is one of the most enjoyable, interesting course we have played. Thank you for honoring your offer. Now, I am going to make another post that is not good for Eagle Crest. I am not looking for another courtesy round of golf, I am so frustrated with how this “resort” is ran. I called for a tee time on 7/8/23 to play 18 holes at the Ridge course on 7/22/23 for myself, my wife and two guests. We arrived 30 minutes prior to our tee time and are informed they have a tournament and we have been moved to the Resort course. This is unacceptable!! We went to the resort course and played….this course is in the worse shape possible. I was so embarrassed in front of my guests to have them play this course. You are either hitting off of dried up areas or completely wet / flooded areas. From here on out I will be taking my guests to other local golf courses. Very unfortunate as Eagle Crest could be better, frankly, I’m not sure how they actually call itself a resort when they do not have a restaurant that does not open until 4 pm. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a real resort experience select Black Butte, Brasada Ranch or Pronghorn.

We played the Challenge course for the first time today. The course itself is very cool and fun to play. We have also played the Ridge and Resort courses in the past. Those course are very nice also. The only complaint we have is that for the high price of these courses, the greens are absolutely the worst greens in Central Oregon and beyond. I would think for the cost to play at Eagle Crest the greens would be pristine. They are the roughest slowest greens we have played on in several years. It’s to bad, we are unlikely to return. UPDATE!! 9/29/22 Eagle Crest reached out to me with an explanation of why the greens are in the condition that they are. It was very professional of them to contact and have also agreed to have me play the Challenge course again as soon as the greens recover. Thank Eagle Crest.
