This is my fourth time here over the past six weeks. The equipment is great. I like the slow motion video of your club head after each shot. Good beer selection. Try the Korean style chicken. Management is friendly and helpful with the golf software. Recommend!
I had high hopes for this place however making the reservation over the phone was difficult. I originally made the reservation for 6 and then called back to move it to 5 and they had no record of the original one. Whoever I was on the phone with started raising their voice at me asking WHAT TIME and I said again, I'd like to move the reservation to 5. This put a bad taste in my mouth but showed up for my slot anyways. I made the reservation for 4 people and showed up at 445pm. The owner (who was very kind and accommodating) was having technical issues with where he set us up so he moved us and that's when I told him I was waiting for the last person in my party to arrive so to not start yet, as we wanted to wait. He told us we could mess around and do practice shots while waiting and he wouldn't start the time until 5. I was like OK awesome. During the first 30 minutes of our time slot, we experienced technical difficulties. I had to go up front 3 times to ask for help. No one explained to us how any of it works and we've been to a few places similar to this so it's not like we were newbies. Anyway, around 5:30 we got a 4 minute warning saying our time was almost up. I was upset because the owner had said he wouldn't start it til 5 and now we were about to get booted out early. I went back up and someone different helped me (the man on the phone taking reservations). I explained to him the owner said he wasn't going to start the time until 5 because my whole party hadn't arrived and that he was letting us to practice shots for free. He goes no, you want extra time, you pay. I explained again what the owner had told me. Had he not said he would wait, we would've sat and waited for the entire party to arrive. This guy says no that's not how it works, I said go ask him. He goes are you calling me a liar? And I go no I'm just explaining the situation and asked him what he thought it was appropriate to argue with a paying customer. He got snarky and said ok I'll give you an extra 20 minutes and I said ok awesome thanks. When my boyfriend went to pay at the end, I asked him to see the receipt afterwards, and that's when I noticed this guy charged us for 3 alcoholic beverages we didn't order. During our time there we had 1 surfside, 1 whiteclaw, 1 miller light and 1 gatorade. This guy charged us for 4 surfsides, 2 miller lights, 1 whiteclaw, and 1 gatorade. It ended up adding about $20 extra to the bill. I was going to say something and even collect the empties to show them but it was new years eve and the people I was with ultimately decided it wasn't worth arguing about. They were probably right because this was the type of person I probably wouldn't have gotten anywhere with. It's just a shame because this place is 5 minutes from where we live and we really did have high hopes for it. Guess we'll just have to wait until Northway golf opens back up for the season.
