Overall the location is very good relative to the lake but the campground is poorly managed. The management at the campground does not seem to take much initiative to operate the campground. We arrived at our site and it had trash all over it along in the woods next to our site. The water pressure was also incredibly low at our site. We ended up just filling our fresh water tank in our camper and using that. At night there were people who parked their truck on the basketball court and were blasting music. Along with that someone was doing donuts in the grass next to the court in their golf cart. I mentioned it to the staff the next day and was told there’s nothing they can do; even though it was during quiet hours established by the campground. They have security there but they just sit at the front gate; they don’t patrol the campground and there’s no way for me to contact them. I was told if it’s causing a problem I need to call the police. This answer is unacceptable and it shows management doesn’t seem to care.

So sad to see this level of customer service and lack of compassion from a place that’s meant to build memories and a great costumer experience, we were driving over 20 hours away from the north east and broke down with our camper on the side of the road. Now with having an extremely stressful and expensive addition to our “vacation” that my family will probably no longer be able to attend, I called the campground to let them know and to cancel and they very RUDLY without any “I’m so sorry” said “your within our cancelation period so you will not be getting back your deposit. I said, is there anyone I can speak to because that’s a little wild given the circumstances and she said “ I am the assistant bla bla bla manager and you’ve forfeited your deposit like I said “ . As a small business owner myself I can’t imagine treating any customer or client like this especially in a stressful time, I think this campground should take a hard look at their policy’s and see if they align with there core values and mission to their customers. Please do better.
