At first I thought, "they're just sand castles." But I stood in AMAZEMENT when I saw them in person. We walked around for about an hour admiring every detail that went into each beautiful works of art. This place is FREE. And to help keep it open to the public for free, we donated some money (which is optional). I want others to enjoy this when they come to visit Padre Island. They have so many beautiful things to offer but this is a MUST SEE when you visit.
The sandcastle village is free and under a big tent. There is a place to give a donation. My husband and I felt that it was well worth the donation way more than a simple dollar they ask. If you’re looking for something unique and fun to see we highly recommend.
