Shankz Mini Golf & Arcades

My family and I visited this arcade/mini golf place during our spring break, and unfortunately, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I took time off work to spend quality time with my kids, and this was one of the activities we were looking forward to. I purchased a round of mini golf along with a $30 game card. After finishing mini golf, I realized I didn’t have a game card, so I went to the counter to ask about it. The employee I spoke with, McKayla, was extremely rude and unprofessional. She immediately insisted that she had handed it to me (which she had not), and when I explained that I never received it, she offered me a card with only $26 on it instead of the $30 I had paid for. When I told her I wanted what I had paid for, she snapped back with, “Do you want it or not?” in an incredibly disrespectful tone. At that point, I asked for a refund since I wasn’t getting anywhere. She called her manager, and only then did she finally provide the $30 card I originally paid for. Throughout the entire exchange, she was shockingly rude, to the point where even her coworker apologized for her behavior. Later, I found out that my daughter had picked up the game card from the counter without me realizing it. McKayla had left it sitting there instead of handing it to me, as she initially claimed. Regardless of this misunderstanding, the real issue was how poorly I was treated. A simple conversation could have resolved the situation, but instead, I was met with hostility and disrespect. To make matters worse, I attempted to call the establishment afterward to address the situation, but no one even answers the phone—it’s just an automated message. It’s incredibly disappointing that I took time off work to enjoy a day with my family, only to deal with such poor customer service. I would not recommend this place to anyone based on how we were treated.
