Two employees standing around, zero customers, not able to get service. I've heard so much about FC and how it's a must try by other flight crews. I was thrilled to be in Bangor overnight. Unfortunately I couldn't actually try their ice cream. I walked a good distance in the cold to show up and see these signs. I didn't see this on their website. Walking back I saw the other half of their sign near the road saying drive thru only. The problem is the half that was towards me on the walk was glitching and showed they were open and then a black screen. Either way, this is stupid. Two couples were walking up there as I was walking down and I broke the news to them. I don't mind the cash only part, I brought cash. I do mind that there were zero customers, two employees and I wasn't able to buy anything because I am not in a car. Why do you guys make it so hard to take my money?!
We were looking for ice cream after a long day exploring Acadia National Park. We gave this place a try based on the reviews and are glad we did. There was a line when we arrived, but they had three or four windows taking orders and the lines moved quickly. There was a steady stream of customers the whole time we were there. They also have a drive thru, which was consistently full as well. The portions are as generous as the reviews suggested. We tried 5 different items on the menu, all with different flavors. Everything was delicious. For a family of five, it was a great value. We didn't have time to try the mini golf, but it's clear to see why this place is a local favorite.
