Daytona Lagoon

I’m at a conundrum with this place. There was 7 of us that came ranging in age from 12-45. We spent $761 total for tickets for “unlimited” food and drinks (Limited not completely unlimited. Don’t be expecting to eat and drink all you want all day. But you won’t starve either. For only $15 more it was worth it.) activities, the cabana and splash park. What I liked was that it was somewhat of a small park and so it was easy to keep track of everyone. I liked the unlimited play and food. The staff was friendly. We rented a Party Cabana which was nice to have throughout the day as a home base. Only thing I’d recommend is that they put a screen on the backside of the party cabanas because there was no shade from the sun in the afternoon. My main reason for the 3 stars was that it was very understaffed. They rotated the slides every hour. Meaning they only had one slide open at a time. The lazy river did not open at all during the day. The food wasn’t very good. Most of the time it took 20-30 minutes to get the food. My 5 kids were bored with it by 3 and three of them left to go back to the hotel and beach. All in all I would’ve given it 4 stars if they had more attractions open in the water park and given a military discount at the door (Was told that at the door they could only give a military discount online.) Would I visit again, probably not especially for the money I spent and the lack of activities to keep my kiddos entertained for the entire day.
